We present the case of a 77-year-old woman who initially presented 13 years ago to a colorectal clinic with a change in bowel habit and bleeding per rectum over 7 months. These symptoms were attributed to a tubulovillous rectal adenoma which was excised transanally, but recurred five times in 12 years. The most recent endoscopy showed recurrence of the rectal adenoma and a new rectal diverticulum. Diverticula in the rectum are rare and only a few reports of this condition exist in the literature. The etiology and symptoms of Zenker's hypopharynx diverticulum are reviewed. The significance of stenosis formation by the pars fundiformis segment of the crico-pharyngeal muscle is emphasized. Idiopathic intussusception is the most common form of intussusception in infants and young children. In older children and adults, intussusception being rare, the lead point is usually an underlying bowel pathology (Meckel's diverticulum, hemangioma, carcinoids, polyps, submucous lipomas, etc.) and these are called pathological lead points (PLP's). The management of an obese child with recurrent abdominal pain for over 2 years, diagnosed with ileo-ileal intussusception due to submucosal lipoma is reported here.

The content of the hernial sac may comprise peritoneal cavity elements, such as small and large bowel loops, visceral adipose tissue, the greater omentum, appendix (amyand hernia), and Meckel's diverticulum. The sliding of part of the urinary bladder wall to the inguinal canal is rare, being observed in 1%-4% (0.5%-3%) of inguinal hernia cases. Complete migration of the urinary bladder to the scrotum is considered a rare anomaly. As of today, 100 such cases have been described.

Perforated Meckel's diverticulum (MD) is a rare complication of pregnancy. Its diagnosis, however, must be considered in all cases of intra-abdominal disease, as its presentation is similar to appendicitis. Prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment is imperative in these cases due to the high rate of perforation leading to fetal and maternal morbidity and mortality. The usual lesion affecting a patient with MD and a review of the literature on other unusual causes of an acute abdomen in pregnancy is presented in the following report.

Littre's hernia was originally defined by Reinke in 1841 as "the presence of a Meckel's diverticulum in any hernial sac." It is generally difficult to differentiate from other types of hernia until complications arise. It is a rare and accidental finding at any age, but it is absolutely exceptional in neonates. To our knowledge, only one case under the age of 1 month has been reported in the literature. Herein two cases treated in the first 20 days of life are reported.

A case is reported of a right aortic arch vascular ring composed of a right aortic arch with mirror image branches and a retroesophageal left aortic diverticulum with a left ductus arteriosus that appeared as a possible foreign body aspiration in an infant. This vascular ring caused partial occlusion of the left main bronchus with air trapping. A discussion of right aortic arch vascular rings and vascular anomalies that have caused unilateral lung hyperinflation is included in this report.

Agrotisvillenensis sp. nov. is described from the Iberian Peninsula. Differential superficial, genital and genetic (barcode) characters from its closest Iberian and European relative species, Agrotisvestigialis (Hufnagel, 1766), are presented. Morphologically, the new species is best characterized in the male genitalia by the shape of the basal vesica and the presence of a median diverticulum and in the female genitalia by its comparatively long appendix bursae. The barcode of A.villenensis differs from those of related species and is assigned a unique BIN.

A 91-year-old woman presented with symptoms of acute bowel obstruction supported by clinical findings. A CT of the abdomen was performed which demonstrated jejunal diverticulosis with a single inflamed, wide necked diverticulum. A large enterolith was found to be impacted in the jejunum just distal to the area of inflammation resulting in small bowel obstruction. The patient underwent emergency laparotomy, which confirmed the CT findings. Small bowel resection was performed. The patient had an uneventful postoperative recovery.

Anterior urethral diverticula are rare in children. Anterior urethral valves and associated diverticulum is the commonly discussed pathological entity in children. There is a lack of awareness among clinicians regarding less common presentations of anterior urethral diverticula in children; which can have a diverse involvement of the urinary tract. This report describes two uncommon presentations of anterior urethral diverticula in children, their diagnoses and management. A systematic differential diagnosis and review of anterior urethral diverticula in children is also presented.

This article reviews the normal anatomy of the female urethra, magnetic resonance (MR) imaging techniques, and the role of MR imaging in the evaluation of diverse urethral and periurethral diseases. Salient MR imaging findings of common and uncommon cystic urethral lesions (urethral diverticulum, Skene cyst, and vaginal cysts), and masses (urethral carcinoma, leiomyoma, melanoma, fibroepithelial polyp, caruncle, and mucosal prolapse) are presented. The evolving role of dynamic MR in the evaluation of stress urinary incontinence is reviewed.

Herniation and incarceration of a Meckel's diverticulum in a hernial sac-Littre hernia-is a relatively uncommon surgical emergency. Segmental stenosis of small intestine after hernia reduction and consecutive intestinal obstruction is a similarly rare emergency. The combination of both these disorders is extremely uncommon at any age and especially during infancy. The obvious rarity of the condition, its subtle diagnostic features, the potentially ominous course of events and the age of patient indicate early surgery as a life-saving solution.

Clear cell adenocarcinoma of the female urethra is a rare malignant tumor arising from urethral diverticulum or paraurethral ducts and glands, and extends to the submucosa surrounding the urethra. In the advanced stage, the tumor may involve adjacent organs such as the vagina, and may mimic gynecologic malignancy. We report 2 cases in which magnetic resonance imaging could reveal their urethral origin by detecting the normal urethra within the mass as targetlike appearance on axial T2-weighted image.
