PURPOSES: The study is to describe a new surgical technique for correcting large orbital implant exposure with extraocular muscle flaps and to propose a treatment algorithm for orbital implant exposure.
METHODS: In a retrospective study, seven patients with orbital implant exposure were treated with extraocular muscle flaps. OBJECTIVE: IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is characterized by IgG4-positive plasmacytic infiltration and fibrosis in various organs. We present the unusual case of a 74 year-old female with a history of breast cancer who presented with acute painless orbital swelling and vertical diplopia. MRI revealed a focal enhancing mass within the superior rectus muscle. As the concern for metastatic disease was high, surgical biopsy was performed and revealed an unusual mimicker of metastatic disease, the parasitic infection dirofilariasis.

PURPOSE: To present the results of management of patients with persistent diplopia after orbital reconstructive surgery with respect to the type of ocular motility impairment pattern.
METHODS: All patients referred during a 2-year period because of persistent diplopia after surgical repair of orbital fracture were categorized according to the degree and pattern of ocular motility impairment on the basis of orthoptic examination 3-4 weeks postoperatively. Wegener's granulomatosis is a necrotizing granulomatous vasculitis with a strong affinity for the upper respiratory tract, lung and kidney. The ophthalmologic manifestation most often presents as inflammatory orbital pseudotumor or scleritis. We report a case of a 27-year-old woman with an orbital-meningeal presentation leading to a diagnosis of Wegener's granulomatosis.

Ophthalmomyiasis is a rare infection seen in susceptible individuals. We report a case of orbital myiasis in squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in a patient of xeroderma pigmentosum.
