METHODS: This was a retrospective cohort in a teaching hospital including women of childbearing age treated by operative hysteroscopy for intrauterine adhesions between January 2010 and May 2020. One or more operative hysteroscopies were performed to remove intrauterine adhesions. The main outcome was occurrence of intrauterine pregnancy and live birth rate after operative hysteroscopy.

INTRODUCTION: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of endoscopic carpal tunnel release (ECTR) versus open carpal tunnel release (OCTR) in treating carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), focusing on symptom relief, functional recovery and post-operative complications.
METHODS: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 44 patients diagnosed with CTS, randomly assigned to undergo either ECTR (n=23) or OCTR (n=21). Parameters evaluated included post-operative pain, grip strength, functional status using the Disability of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH) score and time to return to work.

PURPOSE: ECMO is an escalation treatment for hypoxic respiratory failure in patients with CDH. Open repair has been advocated after ECMO indicating that physiological changes associated to thoracoscopic repair were not well tolerated.
