An intelligent embedded fuzzy genetic classifier based network intrusion detection system for secured communication in internet of things.

Internet of things (IoT) is a distributed connection of smart objects which collects the data or information from the deployed environment and communicates the data to other devices with Internet as a backbone. Due to its unfriendly deployment nature and openness in communication via Internet, IoT is vulnerable to various types of attacks during data transmission. Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is an effective method to provide strong and efficient security to IoT devices. IDS is a software that tracks the network traffic and identifies the anomalies and abnormal activities. An Improved Ant …

Co-designing a prototype teaching intervention on triadic communication for healthcare professionals working with young people with cancer.

INTRODUCTION: Triadic communication is frequently observed in adolescent and young adult cancer care. Communication is fundamental to quality healthcare and patient-centred care. Little research has focussed on triadic communication specifically in this age group. Importantly professionals find communicating with young people difficult, compounded by limited training opportunities. METHODS: A multi-phase, co-design approach was used to develop a triadic communication educational intervention. The prototype teaching was delivered to twelve multidisciplinary professionals. Feedback on the train…

"Share the Fear": Communication Concerns of Parents With Cancer With Dependents and Coparents: A Qualitative Needs Assessment Study.

BackgroundThe estimated 1.6 million adults in the United States with cancer who also have dependents face unique challenges given the profound impact of cancer on their families, such as increased psychological distress, decreased quality of life, and altered family functioning. Unfortunately, little is known about the mutual cancer-related communication concerns from the perspectives of the parents with cancer or the coparents. Coparents care for the patient and dependents until they reach adulthood (eg, unmarried, divorced, stepparent, and/or same-sex partnerships).ObjectiveTo understand the…

Tunneling Nanotubes in Astrocyte-Neuron Crosstalk: From Intercellular Communication and Pathological Spread to Mechanobiological and Bio-Inspired Approaches.

Tunneling nanotubes (TNTs) are dynamic cell surface conduits that enable direct transfer of ions, signaling molecules, and organelles. They have emerged as a key mechanism of intercellular communication, complementing classical pathways such as synapses and paracrine signaling. In the central nervous system (CNS), TNTs exhibit a functional duality, particularly under aging and stress, where TNT-mediated exchange may shift from protective to maladaptive. On one hand, TNTs support homeostatic functions, ranging from mitochondrial transfer to stem cell-mediated rescue and astrocyte-neuron metabol…

Flash Communication: Arene η6‑Coordination to Chromium Tricarbonyl Promotes Cobalt-Catalyzed C-H Borylation of Electron-Rich Arenes.

The cobalt-catalyzed borylation of electron-rich arenes η6-coordinated to [Cr-(CO)3] has been demonstrated using the pyridine-(dicarbene) pincer-supported dicobalt alkoxide (iPrACNC)-Co2(tBuO)4 as the precatalyst. Metal coordination accelerated the borylation of the arene by 20-200 fold, enabling reactivity with substrates that were otherwise sluggish or inactive for cobalt-catalyzed C-H functionalization. The cobalt-catalyzed borylation of η6-coordinated electron-rich arenes proceeded at ambient temperature in the absence of HBPin scavengers. Arene coordination to chromium also proved to be a

Exosome-mediated cell-cell communication: a new perspective on the mechanisms and therapeutic potential of diabetic microvascular complications.

Diabetic microvascular complications, including diabetic kidney disease, diabetic retinopathy, and diabetic peripheral neuropathy, are associated with a growing burden and frequently present as comorbidities, posing substantial therapeutic challenges. Exosomes have been identified as key drivers in the pathogenesis of these conditions by mediating cell-cell communication. This review summarizes the biogenesis, cargo sorting, and uptake of exosomes, with emphasis on how these processes are reprogrammed under metabolic stress, converting exosomes from physiological regulators into carriers of pa…

Imidazolate Bridges Enable Spin Communication in Diiron(III) Porphyrin Dimers: A Bioinspired Model of the Diheme Enzyme MauG.

Inspired by the long-range electron-transfer pathways in diheme enzymes such as MauG and bacterial diheme cytochrome c peroxidases, where an intervening tryptophan residue mediates electronic communication between spatially separated heme centers, we report a rare class of imidazolate-bridged Fe(III) porphyrin dimers that emulate this biological architecture. The redox-active imidazolate bridge directly couples two iron porphyrin centers, enabling efficient electronic communication. To probe the role of structural flexibility, dimers incorporating rigid cis-ethene and flexible diethyl pyrrole …

Toward a Diagnostic Template for Acquired Apraxia of Speech: Insights From an Academy of Neurologic Communication Disorders Review.

PURPOSE: Significant variation is observed in diagnostic assessments for individuals with acquired apraxia of speech (AOS). The lack of consistency across research related to AOS impacts the comparison of intervention outcomes. This extends to diagnostic criteria, assessment, and the inclusion of patient demographics. This viewpoint examines outcomes related to the consistency in diagnostic tool use and collection of demographic information and introduces a template to support researchers and clinicians conducting diagnostic evaluations. Materials include guidelines for a thorough case history

Integrated Sensing and Communication for 6G V2X Networks: A Comprehensive Survey of Architectures, Security, and Multi-Modal AI.

Sixth-generation (6G) vehicular systems are expected to provide extreme reliability, ultra-low latency, and high data rates while simultaneously enabling accurate and timely perception of vehicles, road users, and surrounding environments. Conventional vehicle-to-everything (V2X) systems treat communication and environmental sensing separately and therefore fall short in dynamic, dense, and safety-critical driving scenarios. Integrated sensing and communication for V2X (ISAC-V2X) addresses this limitation by sharing hardware and spectrum for dual-functional operation. This survey consolidates …

Short Communication: The Peripheral Cannabinoid CB1 Receptor Antagonist AM6545 Modifies Cardiovascular Effects of Endocannabinoids in DOCA-Salt Rats.

Peripherally restricted ('second-generation') cannabinoid CB1 receptor (CB1R) antagonists have been suggested to have therapeutic potential in numerous diseases. However, their effects on the cardiovascular system require further research. The peripheral CB1R antagonist AM6545 failed to modify the decrease in blood pressure (BP) elicited by inhibition of anandamide degradation in spontaneously hypertensive rats. The aims of the present study were to examine the effect of AM6545 on BP and its interaction with endocannabinoid-evoked effects in deoxycorticosterone acetate (DOCA)-salt rats. For th

Virtual single-cell perturbation and genetic causal inference reveal CSF1R-dependent immunometabolic communication in iron metabolism-associated osteoarthritis.

Iron dysregulation has emerged as a contributor to osteoarthritis (OA), yet the cell-communication mechanisms connecting iron-related genetic signals to joint degeneration remain insufficiently defined. Here, we established an integrative computational framework combining transcriptomic screening, machine learning, Mendelian randomization, immune and metabolite mediation analysis, single-cell transcriptomics, virtual gene perturbation, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, and experimental validation to identify signaling regulators involved in iron metabolism-associated OA. By int…
