We report two cases of thyroid lymphoma. First was of a 54-year-old lady who presented with a 10 year history of goiter. Examination revealed an enlarged thyroid gland extending sub-sternally, with no palpable lymph nodes. She had been on thyroxine for 4 months, due to a high TSH with positive antibodies. Fine needle aspiration cytology of thyroid showed Hashimoto thyroiditis (HT). A total thyroidectomy was done because of pressure symptoms. Hermaphroditism was identified in a 3-year-old American Cocker spaniel with an enlarged os clitoridis that was shown as reddish finger-like structure protruding from the vulva. The urethral orifice was located cranially to the base of the os clitoridis. Because of a pancytopenia, moderately cellular bone marrow with hypoplastic erythropoiesis but with active granulo- and thrombopoiesis and a conspicuous increase in histiocytic cells, a patient was provisionally diagnosed as having histiocytic medullary reticulosis. However, Salmonella typhi was cultured from blood, urine and stool specimens. After 3 weeks the Widal reaction showed a titre of 1/320 for the H-antigen and 1/1,280 for the O-antigen. The patient was treated with chloramphenicol for 10 days and the fever, enlarged spleen and enlarged lymph nodes returned to normal.

An 8-y-old boy presented with premature virilization and was found to have peripheral precocious puberty due to a unilateral Leydig cell tumor. The mass was surgically excised, and histopathology confirmed the diagnosis. Postoperatively, androgen levels normalized; however, within months, he developed accelerated growth, testicular enlargement, and rising gonadotropins, consistent with central precocious puberty. Testicular choriocarcinoma needs to be considered in the differential diagnosis of cutaneous metastases in young adult men because of its propensity for early hematogenous dissemination. Intrathyroidal metastasis of tonsillar squamous cell carcinoma is rare. To date, only six cases have been reported in the literature. We describe an unusual autopsy case of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma with massive cardiac involvement. The patient was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of fever and cervical lymph node enlargement, which improved following treatment with vincristine sulfate, cyclophosphamide (Endoxan), prednisolone sodium succinate, and doxorubicin hydrochloride (Adriamycin).
