Untreated coronary artery disease may complicate the clinical course of patients with Stanford type A acute aortic dissection. In these patients the role of coronary angiography for the assessment of coronary circulation is controversial and it is considered by some time consuming thus increasing the risk of rupture. We describe a case of acute type A aortic dissection that illustrates our approach to this problem.

Congenital anomalies of the aortic valve can be associated with other cardiac anomalies. In this report, we present a patient with an aortic valve anomaly associated with occlusion of left coronary ostia. In addition, we reviewed the literature and found 10 similar cases. Although compatible with life, this anomaly can lead to significant symptoms. Preoperative diagnosis as well as proper therapeutic planning should be tailored to correct valvular competence and restore coronary blood flow.

The left ventricle (LV) was catheterized without X-ray control by a thin teflon catheter introduced through the right brachial artery. Shaping of the catheter allowed entering LV in more than 95% of patients and its safe placements in LV cavity without causing ectopic beats or other complications. We report an interesting case of single right coronary artery arising from the right sinus of Valsalva and continuing distally as a rare anomalous left coronary artery. Over the 7-year course of our clinical follow-up, the right coronary artery manifested severe, progressive atherosclerotic disease in multiple sites, which lesions were successfully stented. We hypothesize that the disease process in the right coronary artery was accelerated by shear stress in association with that vessel's need to carry the entire burden of the coronary circulation.

Congenital anomalies of coronary arteries are a group of diseases that are infrequently found. Their prevalence has been reported from 0.6% to 1.3%. Most clinical manifestations are benign and asymptomatic. Congenital absence of the left circumflex artery is a very rare congenital anomaly of the coronary circulation, and only a few cases have been reported in the literature. We report a case of a 51-year-old man who underwent a cardiac catheterisation. Coronary angiography showed a left anterior descending coronary artery with no circumflex and a dominant right coronary artery.

Adult presentation with myocardial infarction in anomalous origin of the left main coronary artery from the pulmonary artery is rare. We describe the different coronary flow physiology in the adult form. A double-conduit repair with a separate feeder vessel to each limb of the left coronary circulation may be necessary to balance the myocardial demand and supply in large systemic collateral coronary beds. The purpose of this article is to report complications from a coronary drug-eluting stent lost in the peripheral circulation. We report the case of successful retrieval of a sirolimus coronary stent from a pedal artery in a young patient who underwent coronary angiography for previous anterior myocardial infarction.
