Renal toxicity is one of the most severe complications that can occur with cisplatin (CIS) administration in cancer patients. Montelukast (ML) renoprotective outcome contrary to CIS-drawn nephrotoxicity remains obscure. OBJECTIVE: To observe clinical therapeutic effect of sequential acupuncture method on apoplexy hemiplegia and to probe into the mechanism.
METHODS: One hundred and forty-four cases of apoplexy hemiplegia were randomly divided into a treatment group treated with sequential acupuncture method and a control group treated with traditional acupuncture, 72 cases in each group. Cyclosporine stimulates vasoconstrictor endothelin-1 (ET-1) synthesis. This study examined the effect of heparin on cyclosporine-induced ET-1 synthesis in Wistar rat aortic endothelial cells in culture. The mechanical effects of KCl, oxytocin and endothelin-1 on pregnant rat myometrium were examined using intact strips and beta-escin-treated skinned strips. Specific endothelin (ET) binding sites were characterized in membranes prepared from human cerebral cortices using binding assay and cross-linking analysis.
