We report the case of a 16-year-old woman with microspherophakia and secondary open angle glaucoma. The patient presented with a membrane dividing the anterior chamber into two segments without edema or Descemet's membrane detachment. Slit lamp biomicroscopy, Pentacam, and specular microscopy images were obtained. Double anterior chamber is primarily found in patients with anterior chamber anomalies when there is no history of surgery or trauma.

BACKGROUND: Diagnosis of ring melanoma is clinically difficult since the mass can remain hidden with standard slit-lamp biomicroscopy. The aim of this study was to evaluate the utility of ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) as a diagnostic tool for ring melanoma of the ciliary body.
METHODS: This was a retrospective study of 6 eyes of 6 patients at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, Ont., with a diagnosis of ring melanoma of the ciliary body. The tumor extension was measured clinically, gonioscopically, ultrasonographically (by UBM), and pathologically.

Several members of two families with Rieger's anomaly were found to have signs of hydrophthalmia (enlarged corneas, Descemet ruptures, optic disc damage). Two of them revealed normal intraocular pressures during later life without medical or operative treatment. Obviously a spontaneous pressure regulation had occurred. A delayed differentiation of the trabecular meshwork is possibly the cause of self-regulation in these two cases of Rieger's anomaly as in case with congenital glaucoma.
