PURPOSE: To evaluate the effect of cataract surgery on intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with narrow angles and chronic angle-closure glaucoma (ACG) and to determine whether the change in IOP was correlated with the preoperative pressure, axial length (AL), and anterior chamber depth (ACD).
SETTING: Private practice, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
DESIGN: Retrospective case series.
METHODS: Charts of patients with narrow angles or chronic ACG who had cataract surgery were reviewed. All eyes had previous laser iridotomies. Data recorded included preoperative and postoperative IOP, AL, and ACD.

PURPOSE: To study the cause, treatment, and cure of traumatic secondary glaucoma in 103 cases (103 eyes).
METHODS: The records of 103 patients (103 eyes) were reviewed. Causes of the high intraocular pressure (IOP) were analyzed according to the time after trauma. Most patients achieved a better visual acuity and ideal IOP after positive medical, neodymium:Yttrium aluminium garnet (Nd:YAG) laser, or surgical treatment. The operations included anterior chamber irrigation, filtering operation combined with mitomycin C, lensectomy, vitrectomy, and combination surgery.

BACKGROUND: To describe the utility of ultrasound biomicroscopy in diagnosing multiple bilateral iridociliary cysts and to determine the clinical significance of this condition.
METHODS: A retrospective review of 73 patients referred for ultrasound biomicroscopy who were found to have bilateral iridociliary cysts.

This retrospective single-center case series evaluated the outcomes of direct selective laser trabeculoplasty (DSLT) in patients with primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG).
