Objectives. This study aimed to investigate the presence of scapular dyskinesis (SD) in office workers with neck and scapular complaints. Variable blood pressure responses, manifesting either as a "white-coat" phenomenon or lability between office visits, confound hypertension management decisions. Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) affects ~50% of postmenopausal women. Unfortunately, it often goes undiagnosed because both patients and health-care providers may be reluctant to bring it up at an annual office visit. FSD encompasses both physical and emotional components, all of which are often intermingled. Exhaustion, anxiety, stress, interpersonal relationship issues, hormonal changes and their sequelae on vaginal tissue, medication side effects, and medical problems all play a potential role. This review discusses some of the common etiologies and diagnostic and management options.

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT), or Osler Weber-Rendu disease, is a rare inherited disorder of fibrovascular tissue affecting various organs. Epistaxis is the most common symptom of HHT but as the disease affects multiple organs, a multisystem and multidisciplinary approach to management is required. The key to successful management of urinary incontinence in the older woman is accurate diagnosis of the underlying condition. A simple 30-minute in-office evaluation answers the important questions that increase the likelihood of reaching the correct diagnosis. This core evaluation includes a history and physical exam, urinalysis and other basic lab tests, assessment of urethral angulation, and a simple cystometrogram. A patient voiding diary may also help to pinpoint the severity of incontinence. Further testing is required if symptoms fail to resolve after empiric therapy.
