TiO2 nanoparticles doped with different weight percentages (4%, 8%, 12% and 16%) of nickel contents were prepared by a modified sol-gel method using Titanium tetra iso propoxide and nickel nitrate as precursors and 2-propanol as a solvent. The effect of prolonged continuous movement on particle size within a 99Tcm-tin colloid preparation was investigated, making use of photon correlation spectroscopy for size estimation. Zinc uptake onto different particle size compost was evaluated in batch and column studies using a synthetic stormwater to quantify sorption capacity and kinetics.
