Two-Way Shape Memory Micropillar Arrays Enabling Efficient and Continuous Switchable Adhesion for Microparticle Manipulation.

Smart surfaces with efficient, switchable adhesion for micro-objects are desirable for high-precision electronics assembly and targeted micro-delivery. However, they still face challenges like size-dependent detachment and the absence of continuous adhesion control. Here, we propose a two-way shape-memory micropillar array (SMMA) based on liquid crystalline elastomers (LCEs), reversibly and continuously switching between upright and collapsed states under thermal stimulation. By leveraging strong elastic energy released during spontaneous shape change and excellent mechanical strength, the sur

Synergistic regulation of AIE property by J-/H-aggregates and TICT in a cationic iridium complex.

The photophysical properties of phosphorescent iridium complexes are intricately governed by the interplay between intermolecular packing and intramolecular processes. In this work, we report a cationic iridium complex whose aggregation-induced emission (AIE) property is synergistically regulated by the formation of J- or H-aggregates and the twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) effect inherent to its donor-acceptor ligand. The emission characteristics exhibit a pronounced dependence on the water fraction in THF/water mixtures. Through a combination of single-crystal analysis, AFM/HR-

Confinement of PEDOT:PSS in Covalent Organic Frameworks for Stable Organic Electrochemical Transistors.

Organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) are attractive for wearable bioelectronics and smart textiles owing to their mixed ionic-electronic conduction and biocompatibility. The function of these transistors relies on a channel made of a 1D conducting polymer, which is essential for converting ionic signals into amplified electronic outputs. However, classical 1D polymer channels such as PEDOT:PSS suffer from severe swelling and instability in aqueous environments, limiting device reliability. Here, we introduce a framework-confinement strategy that inserts PEDOT:PSS into the nanopores of β
