A group of 29 re-anastomosed men were examined with respect to semen quality, anti-sperm antibody titres in serum and seminal plasma, presence of anti-sperm antibodies on sperm, and success rate in inducing pregnancy. Results indicated no association between pre-reversal serum anti-sperm antibody titres and post-reversal semen quality, but a pregnancy induction rate of zero was associated with serum anti-sperm antibody titres greater than 160. PURPOSE: Our purpose was to investigate reproductive performance among kidney transplant recipients.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We studied 126 kidney transplanted women 15 to 68 years of age including 33 who were single and 93 who were married.
RESULTS: Infertility was seen in 10.4% of those who desired pregnancy, a rate similar to the general population. We herein report the clinical statistics on new outpatients over five years from 1994 at our hospital. The average number of new outpatients per year was 8,534.4 (8,366-8,658) and there was only a slight variation in the number over the last five years. The male to female ratio was 1.61:1. We examined 11 patients with acquired obstructive azoospermia resulting from irreparable obstruction of 1 vas deferens and severe damage to the contralateral testis. All of the patients underwent transseptal crossed vasovasostomy with no morbidity. OBJECTIVE: To explore the causes of epididymal obstruction in China and the success of reconstructive surgery.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: From February 2006 to December 2009, 134 consecutive azoospermic men with suspected epididymal obstruction underwent scrotal exploration.
