Research on active noise control for villa elevators based on transmission path analysis and complex spectrum learning.

Villa elevator noise is predominantly concentrated in the 20-500 Hz frequency range, with a reverberation time of 0.2 s, which is far shorter than the 0.4 s of conventional elevators. This makes it challenging for adaptive filters to guarantee effective noise reduction performance. A novel deep learning-based active noise cancellation method is proposed based on Dominant Transmission Path and Complex-spectrum Network (DTPC-Net). First, a transmission path model was established, and the primary noise source and its dominant propagation direction were identified based on coherence analysis and e

Decoupling the Retention-Energy Trade-Off Through Structural Reorganization of Synaptic Polyelectrolytes for Nonvolatile Neuromorphic Devices.

Electrolyte-gated synaptic transistors (EGSTs) are promising ion-mediated artificial synapses, but their performance is constrained by a retention-energy trade-off. Enhancing long-term memory (LTM) retention often requires enhanced ion accessibility, which can induce excessive ion accumulation and increase energy consumption. Herein, we resolve this physical dilemma by rationally engineering the spatial architecture of a poly(maleic acid)-poly(styrenesulfonate) (PMA-PSS) copolymer electrolyte. The density of the bulky, hydrophilic PSS blocks is increased to impose steric hindrance and thermody

Enhanced deep learning model for anomaly object detection and tracking from surveillance videos.

Video anomaly detection plays a crucial role in video surveillance, which identifies suspicious intruders without human intervention. Moreover, the rapid growth of video surveillance applications such as intrusion detection, health monitoring systems, and fault detection provides a secure environment. Furthermore, detecting anomalous intruders from video is a challenging task because of diverse contexts, lack of training data, and environmental variations. Several conventional techniques use various Deep Learning algorithms for anomaly detection, which possess limitations including high false

Bistability of compartmentalized autocatalytic systems at the dawn of hereditary variation.

Inheritance is central to life, but its first chemical basis may have preceded the complex molecules that store genetic information in modern organisms. Molecules in autocatalytic chemical networks facilitate the formation of more instances of the same molecules. They have long been proposed as simpler candidates for primitive heredity, yet it has remained unclear how such systems could show stable, selectable variation rather than mere short-term adjustment to changing conditions. Here we show that two mutually interacting autocatalytic networks can form alternative stable chemical states, ma

Engineered bacteriophage nanoassemblies in vivo stabilize DC-T cell immune synapse for high-performance influenza vaccination.

T cell activation by dendritic cells (DCs) requires the formation of a stable immune synapse (IS). The objective of this study was to develop a vaccination approach by targetedly regulating DC-T cell synaptic interactions in vivo. We constructed bacteriophage nanoassemblies to deliver antigen-encoding sequences into DC cytoplasm and enhance DC-T cell IS stability in vivo, thereby boosting vaccine potency. Specifically, influenza hemagglutinin stem gene was inserted into the genome and DC-targeting peptide was fused to the sidewall of bacteriophages. Then, bacteriophages acted as surfactants to

m6A-modified Mid1 promotes sevoflurane-induced cognitive impairment in neonatal mice by ubiquitin-mediated degradation of Syngap1.

Investigating the cognitive effects of sevoflurane exposure during early development is essential due to its potential long-term neurodevelopmental impacts. This investigation systematically explored the molecular basis of sevoflurane-induced cognitive impairment, with emphasis on m6A RNA modifications and ubiquitin-dependent proteostasis involving Mid1 and Syngap1. Using integrated approaches, including methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing (MeRIP-seq), transcriptomic profiling, neurobehavioural testing and molecular analyses, 2091 m6A methylation sites were identified that were diffe

An intelligent evaluation model for spirometry quality using wavelet and deep time-series methods.

Quality control (QC) of spirometry is a critical yet challenging prerequisite for accurate pulmonary function tests (PFTs), especially in primary care settings where skilled personnel are often unavailable. This study aims to develop an intelligent evaluation model to automatically identify anomaly types in spirometry reports, ensuring the reliability of diagnostic data.

Approach: We proposed a hybrid model, which integrates an artificial neural network (ANN) with wavelet analysis and integration of Convolutional Neural Network and Long Short-Term Memory models (CNN-LSTM). The model w

Human DNA methylation biomarkers in diabetic complications: from association to clinical translation.

Diabetic complications are a major contributor to morbidity and mortality, yet accurately identifying individuals at highest risk remains a persistent clinical challenge. Although established clinical risk factors underpin current prediction models, their ability to forecast complication onset and progression remains limited. Long-term follow-up of landmark clinical trials revealed the phenomenon of metabolic memory, whereby early glycemic exposure leaves a lasting imprint on future complication risk, even after glycemic differences have converged. Epigenetic mechanisms are compelling mediator

A UV-DOAS-Based Multi-Scale Interaction Attention Network for Simultaneous Retrieval of NO and NO2 in Gas Mixtures.

Accurate monitoring of nitrogen oxides (NOx) is essential due to their adverse effects on environmental quality and public health. To address the spectral overlap between NO and NO2 in ultraviolet differential optical absorption spectroscopy (UV-DOAS), we propose a multi-scale dual-branch interaction attention network (MDIAN) for simultaneous concentration retrieval in gas mixtures. The model employs a dual-branch multi-scale convolutional architecture to extract local narrow-band absorption details and broad spectral profile features. A cross-attention mechanism is introduced to enable featur

A systematic review of brain structural and functional alterations in pediatric mild traumatic brain injury.

INTRODUCTION: Pediatric mild traumatic brain injury (pmTBI) constitutes 70-90% of childhood traumatic brain injury cases. While magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reveals subtle brain alterations, fragmented evidence across modalities limits understanding of long-term neurobiological consequences. METHODS: This systematic review synthesized 42 studies from MEDLINE/PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and Scopus (inception to December 2025) employing structural MRI and functional MRI (fMRI). Methodological quality was assessed using a modified GRADE framework. RESULTS: White matter investi

A methodological framework and experimental protocol for proactive human-robot collaboration with multimodal intention prediction and adaptive control.

Industry 5.0 requires collaborative robots that can anticipate operator needs to improve fluency and safety in assembly. However, many human-robot collaboration (HRC) systems still treat perception, intention inference, and control as separate components. This study presents a theoretical perception-cognition-action framework that explicitly couples multimodal intention prediction with proactive and adaptive control. Multimodal observations such as RGB-D vision, gaze, wrist force/torque, robot joint state, and previous robot action are encoded by a hybrid Convolutional Neural Network (CNN)- Lo

Early diagnosis of axial spondyloarthritis in primary care using multi-agent systems.

Axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) is an inflammatory disease marked by chronic low back pain, with a global average diagnostic delay of 6.7 years. Early diagnosis is crucial for improving prognosis and reducing disability rates, yet primary care physicians (PCPs) may find it challenging to ensure timely recognition and referrals. This study developed and validated Spondyloarthritis Agents (SpAgents), an early diagnostic system based on a multi-agent framework integrating large language models (LLMs) and imaging models. The SpAgents framework includes PlannerAgent, DataAgent, ToolAgent, and Docto

Deep Learning-Based Temporal Gait Analysis Using a Smartphone IMU in Older Adults with and Without Non-Specific Low Back Pain.

Accurate gait event detection using inertial measurement units (IMUs) is essential for temporal gait analysis, but frame-level detection is challenged by sparse initial contact (IC) and foot-off (FO) events. This study evaluated recurrent neural network architectures and training strategies for simultaneous IC and FO detection using a single shank-mounted smartphone IMU. The internal dataset included 28 healthy older adults and 18 individuals with non-specific low back pain (NSLBP). Temporal label expansion substantially improved validation performance for gated recurrent unit (GRU) and long s

SurvGRN: a multi-feature fusion framework for bladder cancer survival prediction.

Bladder cancer survival outcomes exhibit significant heterogeneity, influenced by multifaceted factors. While digital pathology-based survival models leveraging artificial intelligence show promise, they often overlook complementary data sources. Conversely, imaging lacks cellular detail, and genomics/proteomics entail complexity and cost. To integrate multidimensional data for enhanced survival prediction, we propose SurvGRN, a multi-feature fusion framework. SurvGRN synergistically combines clinical variables, transcriptomics, and digital pathology slides using a gated residual network archi

UCtracker: A Deep Learning-Based DNA Methylation Model for Noninvasive Diagnosis and Recurrence Surveillance of Urothelial Carcinoma in a Prospective Study.

Noninvasive diagnosis and longitudinal surveillance of urothelial carcinoma (UC) remain clinically challenging. Here, we developed and prospectively validate UCtracker, a urine DNA methylation-based deep learning model for UC detection and postoperative recurrence monitoring. UC-specific differentially methylated regions (DMRs) were identified by high-depth whole-genome bisulfite sequencing of UC tissues, paired adjacent normal tissues, and non-tumor urine samples. UCtracker was constructed using the top 2000 hypomethylated DMRs and a convolutional neural network-bidirectional long short-term

Dendrimer-Conjugated Glutamine Antagonist, D-TTM020, Ameliorates Brain Immune Dysregulation and Improves Neurobehavioral Deficits in the Mecp2-Deficient Mouse Model.

Rett Syndrome (RTT) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by mutations in the MeCP2 gene, predominantly affecting females. Recent work with MeCP2-deficient mouse models showed a significant role in glutamatergic transmission, specifically microglia-produced glutamate and glutaminase upregulation, in RTT pathology. The glutamine antagonist 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine (DON) is a potent glutaminase inhibitor; however, its use is limited due to systemic toxicities arising from its non-specific inhibition of glutamine-utilizing reactions. In this work, we determined whether dendrimer conjug

Tumor-responsive nanoparticles precisely overcome hypoxia-mediated STING dysfunction to unleash potent antitumor immunity.

The Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) pathway plays a central role in anti-tumor immunity by mobilizing both the innate and adaptive immunity. However, hypoxia, a tumor hallmark was shown to severely constrain immune responses and lead to suboptimal therapeutic efficacy. Through bioinformatic analyses, we revealed that hypoxia directly repress STING-pathway-related genes. Furthermore, we developed tumor-targeted pH-responsive nanoparticles (SPF) to overcome hypoxia-induced STING dysfunction for amplifying immune responses. The nanoparticles (NPs) effectively accumulate and reoxygenate the
