BACKGROUND/PURPOSE: The objective of this study is to compare the long term manometric outcomes in patients with previous laparoscopic anorectoplasty (LARP) and posterior sagittal anorectoplasty (PSARP).
METHODS: This is a single-centered retrospective study and the participants were born with various types of anorectal malformation. Manometric assessment was carried out with high-resolution anorectomanometry performed as a day procedure. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the therapeutic effect of free thinning anterolateral thigh flap for reconstruction of soft tissue defects after resection of buccal carcinoma.
METHODS: From January 2012 to April 2015,15 cases with buccal carcinoma received radical resection and immediate reconstruction with free thinning anterolateral thigh flap. The flap size ranged from 8 cm × 6 cm to 12 cm × 8 cm.

Many techniques are available to close a myelomeningocele, but large lesions can be particularly difficult to close given the absence of surrounding tissue. The authors present the case of a 2-day-old girl with a large lumbosacral myelomeningocele who underwent a staged repair using dermal regeneration template (DRT; Integra) followed by split-thickness skin grafting. The results demonstrated that the combined use of myofascial turnover flaps and DRT with delayed skin grafting is a safe, effective option for this challenging reconstructive dilemma.
