A case is presented employing a modification of the halo traction technique using clavicle and scapular based pins attached through Hoffmann spacing bars to a standard halo frame. Operative treatment of traumatic dislocation of the elbow joint is indicated when there is proved gross instability or osteochondral fractures and loose bodies, or both. We performed a capsule-ligament repair in twenty-eight patients, and no cast was applied postoperatively. Satisfactory results were achieved with an average follow-up of two and one-half months. The results of the analysis of 128 patients who had died after trauma of the spine and spinal cord are discussed. Total disturbance of the anatomical intactness of the vertebral canal walls was demonstrated on all specimens. AIMS: This study investigated the outcomes of total hip arthroplasty (THA) performed for acute acetabular fractures through a replace-in-situ technique, where no attempt was made at fracture reduction, fixation, or restoration of columns before acetabular component insertion.

PURPOSE: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of mini-fragment plate fixation of trochanteric fragments in Vancouver B2 femur fractures. Pre-contoured plates are generally used in the proximal femur of Vancouver B2 fractures to secure trochanteric fragments. PURPOSE: The anterior inferior iliac spine (AIIS) is a frequent site of avulsion fracture in the pelvis, and these lesions could be observed mainly in teenage athletes. The present study aimed to re-evaluate the appropriate acute surgical treatment of AIIS avulsion fractures considering the three-dimensional anatomy of the supracetabular region.
METHODS: This study evaluated current evidence of AIIS avulsion fracture treatments and outcomes. A literature search was done in the following databases: PubMed, SCOPUS, Embase, and Cochrane Library. All relevant information was used in this review.

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the complications of bipolar hemiarthroplasty for the treatment of intertrochanteric fractures.
METHODS: From Jan. 2004 to Dec. 2007, 62 patients over 80 years old with unstable interthochanteric fracture were treated with bipolar hemiarthroplasty, included 34 males and 28 females with an average age of 86.3 years ranging from 81 to 97 years. Acute Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (ACTS) is a relatively rare sequel of distal fractures of the radius. This paper is an analysis of the causes of ACTS and of long-term results of treatment by surgical decompression combined with use of external fixators. The present study is a retrospective analysis of spinal fracture treatment with the Cotrel-Dubousset instrumentation technique. 150 unstable injuries of the spine were treated with the CD implant at the University of Louisville--Level I Trauma Center--between February 1985 and March 1989.
