We report a case of synchronous double primary tumor of gallbladder and liver. A 63-year-old male was admitted to the hospital complaining of abdominal discomfort. Enhanced computed tomography of the abdomen showed acute cholecystitis with tiny gallbladder stones and a 2.2 cm size enhanced nodule in the left lobe of the liver. Granular cell tumors (GCTs) are uncommon neoplasm. They can originate in any part of the body. The most common sites of origin are in the head and neck, while the larynx is a relatively uncommon location. BACKGROUND: Recurrent laryngeal nerve paralysis (RLNP) occurs in patients with thyroid malignancy. This study prospectively evaluated vocal function and management outcomes of patients with papillary thyroid carcinomas (PTCs) and RLNP.
METHODS: Of 319 PTC patients, 256 underwent total thyroidectomy with or without neck dissection, 42 underwent lobectomy, and 21 underwent reoperation for recurrent cancers. PATIENTS AND METHODS: 97 patients underwent supraglottic horizontal laryngectomy with bilateral neck dissection: 35 patients (group A) received postoperative radiotherapy (60-70 Gy, 2 Gy fractions daily); 62 patients (group B) received only surgery.
