A case of epithelioid haemangioendothelioma sited at pulmonary valve, with an excrescence growing invading pulmonary artery troncus and its principal branches, in a 56-year-old woman is reported. The evolutive behavior simulated some clinical situations which made difficult the diagnosis: a mild-moderate pulmonary stenosis, a general syndrome, and, finally, an acute pulmonary thromboembolism that carried to an aggressive management which conducted to the entity diagnosis.

Opioid peptides have a variety of actions on inter alia pituitary hormone secretion and the immune system. Release of endogenous opioids has been found to stimulate growth of experimental breast cancers and opiate receptor blockers have reduced the growth of chemically induced rat breast tumors. We performed clinical analysis of 12 patients with renal cell carcinomas associated with tumor thrombosis in the inferior vena cava. Eleven cases were men, and one was a woman; their ages range from 48 to 76 years old with a mean of 58 years. An acoustic neurinoma involving the internal auditory canal, the vestibule, the cochlea, the middle ear, and extending into the cerebellopontine angle and the external auditory canal, is described in a 56-year-old woman. An initial episode of vertigo was followed by a 27-year history of progressive unilateral hearing loss leading to complete deafness and areflexia with central compensation. The tumor was removed by a two-step surgical procedure, and the histologic features were those of a schwannoma.

Due to the increased use of modern imaging systems during the last few years, kidney tumors are often diagnosed at an earlier and less advanced stage. This fact implies a reevaluation of the operative technique of radical nephrectomy that was recommended 30 years ago. The ipsilateral adrenal involvement during radical nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma is assessed and the necessity of its extirpation is discussed. Computed tomographic feature of uterine carcinoma were described based on our own experience of 40 cases (cervix 35, body 5) and on the review of the recent articles. It was found to be not always possible to detect tumor infiltration not only at the cervix but lateral extension to the parametrium on CT.
