Interspecies heterokaryon assay is one of the most effective methods to investigate the nucleocytoplasmic trafficking properties of a protein. In our lab, the interspecies heterokaryon assay has been applied to identify a few herpesviral proteins with nucleocytoplasmic shuttling property. The fusion protein TEL/PDGFRB is associated with chronic myelomonocytic leukaemia and has intrinsic tyrosine kinase activity. Cytologic findings of aspiration smears from 146 histologically confirmed mammary were analyzed in this paper. NUT carcinoma (NC) is a rare malignancy with aggressive clinical behavior, defined by rearrangements involving the NUTM1 gene locus.
