BACKGROUND: China has reported a high rate of HIV transmission through male-to-male sexual contact. This study aims to update the trend in HIV incidence density and identify associated risk factors among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Chongqing, China.
METHODS: Data on HIV incidence and sexual behaviors were obtained from the Chongqing CDC for MSM from 2013 to 2022. HIV incidence density was calculated biennially, along with the overall incidence rate. Cox proportional hazards regression was used to identify risk factors associated with HIV infection.
