The authors review the literature and report on a case of fibromatosis and a case of fibrolipoma of the spermatic cord, stressing the rarity and the therapeutic problems they may pose.

A case of fibroma arising from the anterolateral wall of a healthy lacrimal sac on the left side in a 22-year-old male is reported. There was no epiphora. The tumor presented as a painless, nonreducible swelling in the lacrimal sac region. It was excised off leaving a patent sac. The diagnosis could be established only on histopathologic examination. Postoperative recovery was uneventful and there was no postoperative epiphora.

The ultrastructure of a myocardial tumor, referred to by a variety of names, which most currently is myocardial fibroma, has been studied. Although the tumor cells did not have the structure associated with protein synthesizing cells or active fibroblasts, there was evidence that they were participating in formation of the abundant stroma rich in collagen and elastic fibers in varying stages of maturity. The morphology of the stromal elements was similar to that in the surrounding myocardium and that described in the "normal" heart but differed from the elastica described in fibroelastosis.

Fibroma is a benign fibrous tissue growth that develops in response to injury or irritation. It is usually firm, painless, nodular, and merging in color with the surrounding tissue. Commonly located in areas such as the buccal mucosa, tongue, and lip, the usual treatment involves surgical removal. In this case report, we present a rare instance of misdiagnosed extraoral irritational fibroma that emerged following the surgical extractions of the lower left third molar.

Chondromyxoid fibroma of bone (CMF) is a rare benign primary bone neoplasm accounting for less than 0.5% of all primary bone neoplasms. A 69-year-old woman with a 25-year history of recurrent sciatica presented with an expanding lytic lesion of the right side of the first sacral vertebra.
