Gastrointestinal involvement occurs in a greater proportion of patients with malignant lymphoma of Waldeyer's ring than would be accounted for by change alone. The diagnosis of lymphoma currently relies on a combination of clinical, routine histopathologic, and immunohistochemical studies, sometimes supplemented by other special techniques such as flow cytometry, DNA analysis, and gene rearrangement study. This review considers the practical diagnosis of cutaneous lymphoma, with particular emphasis on three areas: Hodgkin's disease, non-Hodgkin's lymphomas and their differentiation from lymphocytoma cutis, and mycosis fungoides and other T-cell lymphomas.

BACKGROUND: Lymphomas originating from the dura mater of the skull, known as primary dural lymphomas (PDLs), are rare. Among these, cases of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)/small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL) are exceptionally uncommon, and no standardized treatment protocols have been established. We retrospectively compared the clinicopathological features of primary intestinal follicular lymphomas (FL-GIs), nodal follicular lymphomas (FL-LNs) and gastrointestinal MALT lymphomas (MALT-GIs), and investigated the distribution and the endoscopic appearances of FL-GI to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment modality.
