Polarography and thermometry were employed in examination of the buccal mucosa in 62 patients after combined treatment and primary plasty for malignant tumors of the maxillofacial area. Measurements of pO2 and buccal mucosa temperature were found to yield objective data on the function of the accepting bed in restoration surgery for postoperative defects and to be helpful for the prediction of local complications. In experiments on 100 cats with multichannel recording, the effects of three vasodilators - papaverine, chloracyzine, and bencyclane (Halidor) - on the volume velocity of the blood flow (by microthermistor technique) and on oxygen tension (by polarography) in the carotid artery, the cerebral cortex, the thalamus, and in white matter were tested. A study was made of the nature and mechanism of interaction of voltaren, butadion, analgin, phenacetin and paracetamol with endoperoxide prostaglandin synthetase (PGH-synthetase) of sheep vesicular glands. A system was evaluated of measuring Pao2 and Pao2 by an inline sensor in the brachial artery and gas chromatography.
