BACKGROUND AND INTRODUCTION: Nipple-areola complex (NAC) reconstruction remains a challenging aspect of breast reconstruction, particularly due to long-term loss of nipple projection and variability in aesthetic outcomes associated with traditional techniques. The FixNip nipple prosthesis is a novel implant-based device designed to provide stable projection and improved aesthetic results. An 80-year-old male patient with cardia adenocarcinoma underwent a surgical resection, but the local recurrence caused stenosis at the esophagogastro-anastomosis. We describe 6 cases of penile curvature following implantation of inflatable penile prostheses. Exploration revealed severe scarring of the corpora cavernosa, which produced the curvature in 4 patients. In all 4 cases this area was incised and the defect was filled with a polytetrafluoroethylene vascular graft. The penis was straightened and the prosthesis functioned normally. Implants supporting a fixed prosthesis may fail leaving unfavorable implant distribution for a fixed prosthesis. This clinical report illustrates a treatment option for converting a failing fixed prosthesis into a mandibular complete overdenture by using a portion of the existing fixed implant prosthesis. The use of a resilient liner to retain a converted mandibular overdenture framework provided satisfactory results in the first year of clinical use.
