PURPOSE: Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) has been shown to increase tumor radiosensitivity. Several reports indicate that it also increases sensitivity to alkylating agents, but other reports suggest that it may speed angiogenesis and tumor growth. Results of studies on the antitumor activity of six 9-aminoacridine derivatives, four 3-nitro-9-aminoacridine derivatives, four 1-nitro-9-aminoacridine derivatives and five N-oxide of 1-nitro-9-aminoacridine derivatives in mice bearing Sa-180 of compound C-709 requires confirmation by further tests with Sa-180. The effects of cylindan, a polysaccharide isolated from the basidiocarps ofAgrocybe cylindracea, on murine sarcoma 180 tumor and murine immune cells were examined after intraperitoneal administration. This work reports the in vivo investigation of telluride cadmium quantum dots (CdTe QDs) conjugated to plant lectins from Schinus terebinthifolia (SteLL) and Punica granatum (PgTeL) for acute toxicity and genotoxicity in healthy mice and 24-h biodistribution in sarcoma 180-bearing animals.
