The causes of vaginal discharge for pruritus vulvae in a patient are considered in three categories: common causes like vaginal candidosis, Trichomonal vaginitis, Gardnerella vaginitis; less common causes like gonococcal infection, Chlamydia infection and T-mycoplasma infection; and uncommon causes which include allergy to nylon underwear, human papilloma infection and eczema. The clinical features of each and a suggested treatment regime are given.

Neovaginal reconstruction is an important part of gender reassignment surgery. We report a case of stone formation at the apex of vaginal vault constructed with sigmoid colon segment. A 48-year-old woman presented with profuse vaginal discharge for 1 year. Of 101 fertile women (15-50 years of age) consulting in general practice due to vaginal discharge and/or genital malodor, bacterial vaginosis was diagnosed in 34% and vaginal candidiasis in 23%. A proctocol to be administered by nurses for the management of dysuria, frequent urination, and vaginal discharge was validated. In a randomized, controlled trial, 146 women were seen by both nurse and physician and then assigned to either the nurse-proctocol treatment plan or the physician treatment plan. BACKGROUND: An 11-year-old female spayed Labrador Retriever was presented with clinical signs of oestrus and vaginal bleeding. Historically, the dog had not cycled and had been spayed at less than 6 months of age.
RESULTS: Extensive investigation culminated in the diagnosis of an ovarian granulosa cell tumour. The patient had a history of localised grade III mast cell tumour 5 years prior and hepatic haemangiosarcoma 8 months prior to diagnosis.

A syndrome associated with vaginal discharge, endometritis and reproductive inefficiency in the served sow is described. In some herds pregnancy failures exceeded 15 per cent with increased returns to service and sows not in pig. Three hundred and thirty Black pregnant patients attending the Baragwanath Hospital antenatal clinic were treated for symptomatic vaginal discharge with econazole (Ecostatin; Squibb).
