Domestic violence is a significant health problem affecting women all around the world by causing a wide range of physical and psychological traumas. Yemen has a very high percentage of women experiencing intimate partner violence (up to 50%) and a high mortality rate. In this article, we are presenting 3 particular cases of domestic violence deaths in which the weapon used was a jambia (jambia, jambiah, jambiya, djambia), a special dagger specific to Yemen and the surrounding areas. We are also summarizing the main characteristics of jambia-inflicted lesions and their thanatology.

Many perpetrators of domestic violence engage in a perpetual cycle of forming sequential relationships while repeating violent behavior. Their methods of manipulation successfully dominate a partner, the outcome of the relationship being control and violence. Here we document the case of a domestic ferret (Mustela putorius) that survived experimental inoculation with rabies virus of skunk origin. The ferret showed initial clinical signs of rabies (hindlimb paralysis) on day 81 after inoculation. In order to speed up rural domestic refuse resources utilization, intermittent aeration and continuous aeration were applied to treat rural domestic refuse after anaerobic fermentation. Three kinds of refuse were selected on base of fermentative age, i.e. three months, five months and seven months. Lymphoma is a common tumor in ferrets, but anatomic distribution, histomorphology, immunophenotype, laboratory abnormalities, and response to chemotherapy are incompletely defined. The objective of the study was to determine the prevalence of domestic violence (DV) in women attending an antenatal clinic in a Delhi hospital; to investigate any associated risk factors; main perpetrators; forms and severity of violence. To determine whether relocating domestic pigs, the amplifying host of Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), decreased the risk for JEV transmission to humans in northern Australia, we collected mosquitoes for virus detection.
