In this study, Doppler signals recorded from ophthalmic artery of 86 patients were processed by personal computer using fast Fourier transform, Burg autoregressive (AR), and least-squares AR methods. By using these spectrum analysis techniques, the variations in the shape of the Doppler spectrums as a function of time were presented in the form of sonograms in order to obtain medical information. These sonograms were then used to compare the applied methods in terms of their frequency resolution and the effects in determination of Behcet disease.

OBJECTIVE: Evaluation of the diagnostic potential of freeze dried sera in comparison to thin dry film analysis for recording ATR-FTIR spectra.
RESULTS: For this purpose, we compared our novel sample preparation technique i.e. freeze dried with conventional technique i.e. thin dry film sera. Using both methods ATR-FTIR spectra were recorded from Salmonella Typhi infected and healthy control human sera samples. When PCA was applied PC1 scores showed more inter-class variation among infected and healthy controls when freeze dried sample was used (90 %) as compared to thin dry film method (46 %).

Macromolecular diffusion in homogeneous fluid at length scales greater than the size of the molecule is regarded as a random process. The mean-squared displacement (MSD) of molecules in this regime increases linearly with time. An ethylenediamine functionalized glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) based terpolymeric chelating resin was synthesized for the separation and preconcentration of Cd(II) and Zn(II) by SPE from bread, rice and fruit juice prior to FAAS determination. The fourth-order coherent Raman response of a TiO2 (110) surface covered by HCl aqueous solution, neat octanol, acetic acid, or carbon tetrachloride layers is acquired. Four fourth-order optical responses were identified at 837-826, 452-448, 371-362, and 184-183 cm(-1) and assigned to near-surface phonons of TiO2. A third-order response produced in the bulk liquid layer was superimposed on the fourth-order response, when coherent vibrations are efficiently excited in the layer.
