OBJECTIVES: To describe 3 cases of successful laparoscopically assisted vaginal reconstruction using an ileal segment in patients with complete neovaginal stenosis.
METHODS: We evaluated 5 male-to-female transsexual patients who required laparoscopic-assisted vaginal replacement for complete neovaginal stenosis after sex reassignment surgery. The aim of the study was to assess fertility of patients after myomectomy. The study included a group of 32 patients, aged 22-41, who underwent laparoscopic myomectomy. Primary infertility was diagnosed in 23 women (71.8%), whereas secondary infertility in 9 women (28.2%). Indications for surgery were rapid growth of myoma during last year and intramural myoma > 3 cm in diameter. The incision of the uterus and removal of myomas was made with harmonic scalpel. The average diameter of the largest myoma was 5.6 cm (range 3-11 cm). The number of myomas observed during operation ranged from 1 to 6.

Uterine fibroids are the commonest tumour affecting the female reproductive tract. In this work paper we have presented the experience of our clinic in the treatment of vasicovaginal fistulas (17 cases), secondary surgical procedures. The frequency of vesicovaginal fistulas is very high after gynecological surgery (14 after total hysterectomy for uterine cancer, uterine fibroma or uterine necrosis secondary to septic abortion). In all cases authors used Diettel-Forgue-Legueu procedure, with good results in 88.30% of cases.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone analogue when administered preoperatively in hysteroscopic metroplasty.
DESIGN: Prospective, comparative study.
PATIENTS AND MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Sixty patients undergoing hysteroscopic metroplasty for septate uterus who were randomly allocated to pretreatment with two injections monthly of Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone analogue or to no pretreatment.
