SETTING: University hospital.
PATIENT(S): A 21-year-old patient presented with primary infertility of 3 years' duration. Left adnexal structures were not visualized on transvaginal ultrasound and hysterosalpingography.

Among congenital renal anomalies, crossed renal ectopia is relatively rare. We report two cases of crossed renal ectopia without fusion. The purpose of this study was to compare the appearance of the entire length of the oviductal canal in women with unilateral versus bilateral proximal tubal occlusion. Eleven women had apparent unilateral disease and 18 had apparent bilateral occlusion. Proximal occlusion was confirmed both by hysterosalpingography and laparoscopy. The results of studies are presented that evaluated one or two intrauterine applications of MCA for permanent sterilization. The studies were conducted under several different protocols and included 652 women. Complications of the procedures were infrequent. The ultimate success of conservative surgery for tubal ectopic pregnancy is difficult to evaluate in the presence of a potentially normal contralateral fallopian tube. Fifteen cases of tubal pregnancy with only one functional fallopian tube were treated by linear salpingostomy at Yale-New Haven Hospital between 1975 and 1980.
