We report a patient with a right dorsolateral pontine syndrome including right masticatory weakness without facial hypesthesia. Brain computed tomography showed a right dorsolateral pontine hemorrhage. Blink reflex study indicated preservation of spinal tracts and sensory nuclei of the trigeminal nerve. Right masseter electromyography revealed denervation. This patient provides a good correlation between clinical, radiological and electrophysiological findings and nuclear organisation of the trigeminal nerve.

INTRODUCTION: Reflex sympathetic dystrophy (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome type 1) is little known by dermatologists. We report a pediatric case of reflex sympathetic dystrophy with predominant cutaneous involvement.
CASE REPORT: A 10 year-old girl presented a warm, painful and relapsing right hand edema for seven months (three outbreaks). The hand was cyanotic, pigmented and painful. Routine blood tests were normal. Radiography and radionuclide bone scan were consistent with stage 1 reflex sympathetic dystrophy. Physiotherapy led to dramatic improvement.

To compare the jaw-stretch reflex and pressure pain thresholds (PPT) in chronic tension-type headache (CTTH) patients and healthy controls, 30 patients (15 male and 15 female) and 30 age- and sex-matched healthy subjects were investigated. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the conditioning effects of plantar pressure on flexion reflex excitability in patients with motor complete spinal cord injury (SCI).
METHODS: In five motor complete SCI subjects, the non-nociceptive flexion reflex was evoked via electrical stimulation of the right sural nerve and was recorded from the ipsilateral tibialis anterior muscle. Pressure ranging from 25 to 80kPa was applied to the metatarsal heads through an adjustable platform incorporated into a foot rest and a comparison of the reflex size made between control conditions and during pressure application.

METHODS: Forty-two patients scheduled to receive thiocolchicoside treatment for different reasons were enrolled in the study. Acoustic reflex thresholds at 500, 1000, 2000 and 4000 Hz were determined and analysed statistically pre-treatment and on the 5th day of treatment.

We report a patient with a severe limitation of function in the right hand resulting from grasp reflex following a stroke affecting the left anterior cerebral artery region. We describe, using diffusion tensor tractography (DTT), a disconnection between the bilateral frontal lobes via the corpus callosum.
