BACKGROUND: Chronic postoperative inguinal pain (CPIP) is a major complication after hernia repairs in adults. However, little is known about CPIP in children.
METHODS: Charts of 855 children with an average age of 3.7 years (range, 0-18 years) who underwent laparoscopic percutaneous extraperitoneal closure (LPEC) between April 2016 and December 2023 were reviewed. Pain after one postoperative month (PIP: postoperative inguinal pain) was the primary outcome measure. Of these, pain lasting more than three months was extracted as CPIP.

We present an unusual case, where the medial meniscus does not coincide with the embryological development of the formation of a discoid cartilage. A fairly, careful perusal of English literature since 1945 to date makes us feel that the following case merits recording. INTRODUCTION: Extrapelvic endometriosis is a rarely seen condition and it is occasionally presented to the general surgeons. It is often diagnosed incidentally.
CASE REPORT: In this report we presented three cases of inguinal endometriosis all of which were thought to be inguinal hernia preoperatively. They were diagnosed during the operation for inguinal hernia repair and treated with simple excision of the lesions with a part of the round ligament.

We present a series of 20 patients who underwent uterine suspension performed through a laparoscope, as part of conservative treatment for infertility and pelvic pain. The operative technique is easily mastered by a skilled laparoscopist who is prepared to deal with intra- or postoperative complications. Avulsion of the round ligament was the most serious complication experienced. Operating time was brief, and the hospital stay was short.

Müllerian adenosarcomas most commonly arise in the uterine corpus from the eutopic endometrium. Occasionally, they arise in the cervix, vagina, broad and round ligaments, and ovaries and rarely in extragenital sites, usually in association with endometriosis. The results of performance of 90 restoration and reconstructive operations in 71 patients with iatrogenic injury of extrahepatic biliary ducts were analyzed. The risk factors of iatrogenic injury were delineated. Original methods of restoration of the bile outflow into intestine were offered. The method of external extraperitoneal cholangiostomy via hepatic round ligament was recommended. Total postoperative mortality had constituted 15.7%.

In six women with a preoperative diagnosis of incarcerated hernia, surgical exploration of the groin revealed inguinal endometriosis and no hernia. Surgical technique and instrumentation of laparoscopic lymphadenectomy continue to undergo improvements. A major concern, however, is whether or not the retroperitoneum is adequately exposed. We developed a technique using straight needles to suspend the round ligament and posterior peritoneum. It gives good exposure with little injury to surrounding tissues. The procedure is easy to perform and requires only 3 to 5 minutes, making laparoscopic lymphadenectomy easier.
