PURPOSE: There are very few studies that describe the technique and results of double-headed pterygium removal and most of these have recurrence rates higher than those described for single pterygium removal. P.E.R.F.E.C.T for PTERYGIUM has a very low recurrence rate, and this study describes the recurrence rate and cosmesis when used on double-headed pterygia.
METHODS: A prospective intervention series was performed on 20 eyes with a follow-up of 1 year or more with examination for recurrence and cosmetic appearance.

PURPOSE: To evaluate the anterior chamber angle in keratoconus eyes by use of the Visante™ OCT and Orbscan™ II.
METHODS: Anterior chamber angle was measured with the Visante™ OCT and Orbscan™ II in 52 subjects, 26 KC subjects and 26 age and control subjects.

Descemet membrane detachment (DMD) is a serious complication of cataract surgery noted mostly in the immediate post-operative period. We present a case series of five patients who experienced unresolved corneal edema during the post-operative period with DMD, as observed in slit-lamp examination and confirmed by anterior segment-optical coherence tomography. Here, we describe the result of a Descemet's membrane endothelial keratoplasty for acute corneal hydrops in a 45-year-old female with keratoconus, who presented with severe visual loss in her OS. The patient's best-corrected visual acuity was 20/80 in the right eye and hand motion in the OS. Slit-lamp examination revealed an extensive tear of the Descemet's membrane and stromal corneal edema in the OS. We opted for Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty. Twelve months postoperatively, the patient had a best-corrected visual acuity of 20/50 in the OS.

PURPOSE: To examine the effect of topical doxycycline on human corneal neovascularization (CONV).
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Six eyes of six patients with CONV received topical 1% doxycycline four times per day for three weeks and monitored for a total of one year. Ophthalmic evaluations included visual acuity, tonometry, slit-lamp examination, conjunctival swabs, quantification of CONV and photography.
RESULTS: CONV either disappeared or was attenuated, shortened and less dense in five of six patients. There were no adverse effects.
CONCLUSION: Topical doxycycline was effective in reducing CON

CASE REPORT: A 25-year-old woman noticed a painless yellow-orange mass on her right eye. Her visual acuity was 20/20 in both eyes, and a slit-lamp examination showed a yellow-orange mass located at the superior limbus of the right eye. No other ocular abnormalities were observed.
DISCUSSION: Surgical excision was carried out and the lesion was sent for histological examination. This showed a granulomatous lesion, rich in Touton-type giant cells, features that are strongly suggestive of juvenile xanthogranuloma (JXG). Ocular involvement occurs in 10% of cases of JXG.
