A review of uncommon skin tumours, all of which characteristically arise in elderly patients, is presented. Angiosarcoma of the face and scalp is a highly progressive tumour with a poor prognosis, but initially it may be misdiagnosed as a simple bruise or cellulitis. In well-differentiated tumours a characteristic feature is interlacing endothelial cell-lined channels showing considerable nuclear atypia. Changing issues in the field of preschool education will be discussed, set in the context of two of my studies which have been concerned with children with special needs in 'ordinary' preschool education, one 'pre-Warnock' in Scotland, and the other 'post-Warnock' in the West Midlands. The concept of special needs will then be widened to include children for whom English is a second language, and also gifted children. Finally, the discussion is extended to early education rather than preschool education with a discussion of the dangers of treating preschool education in isolation.

A duodenal duplication almost as large as the stomach proper was found along the greater curvature of the stomach in a 6-month-old Caucasian girl. There was a wide communication with the proximal part of the duodenum, from which the duplication blood supply originated. The duplication and the stomach shared the serosal lining, but had individual, full thickness walls. In this paper results in diagnostics and therapy are presented of 185 patients with breast diseases obtained during special consultation hours. The greatest part of the breast diseases are fibrocystic mastopathies. Very good therapeutic results have been achieved using the phytotherapeutic agent Mastodynon. Emphasis is laid on the increasing importance of the histological findings and hormon receptor determination.

Hemolysis induced by ultraviolet radiation as well as demethylchloretetracycline (DMCT) phototoxicity have been investigated in a model using human red blood cells. Total hemolysis for UV-B and UV-C was obtained with 8.3 and 1.9 J/cm2 respectively. DMCT was shown to have pronounced hemolytic properties causing 88% hemolysis at 50 micrograms/ml and 72 J/cm2 of UV-A. No increased hemolysis rate was seen in combination with UV-B. We have studied 15 occipital, 3 frontal and one parietal cases of encephaloceles from the point of view of the etiopathogenetic, clinic and especially diagnostic problem. The diagnosis of M.E. is based on: 1) the x-ray demonstration of the bone-gap by particular projections and by tomography; 2) in the frontal M.E. the presence of face deformity, with hipertelorism and widening of nose bridge and the finding of ectopic tissue in the nose or in the oral cavity in presence of palatoschisis. There is no one best method of contraception for postpregnant teenagers. Most emphasis, however, needs to be on preventing unwanted teenage pregnancies. Contraceptive history must be considered in prescribing. Three patients with Scheie syndrome are reported on. They were suspected to be suffering from mucopolysaccharidosis because of clinical, histological and electron microscopic observations. The Scheie syndrome diagnosis was based on urinary GAG analysis. Chase experiments with cultured fibroblasts from one of the patients showed retarded degradation of 35SO4-labeled intracellular GAG. In addition, the pathogenesis of mucopolysaccharidoses in connection with cellular GAG metabolism is discussed.
