A total of 200 females of whom 120 had manifestations of vaginal trichomoniasis and 80 asymptomatic ones were studied. Seventy-four New Zealand white rabbit pups were divided into four groups: group I, 2 days of age (n = 9); group II, 3 to 5 days of age (n = 24); group III, 6 to 8 days of age (n = 27); and group IV, 10 to 13 days of age (n = 14). A novel and highly sensitive chemiluminescence (CL) method for the determination of ethanol was developed based on the CdS quantum dots (QDs)-permanganate system. It was found that KMnO4 could directly oxidize CdS QDs in acidic media resulting in relatively high CL emission.
