Willingness to Receive a COVID-19 Vaccination Among Incarcerated or Detained Persons in Correctional and Detention Facilities - Four States, September-December 2020.

Incarcerated and detained persons are at increased risk for acquiring COVID-19. However, little is known about their willingness to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. During September-December 2020, residents in three prisons and 13 jails in four states were surveyed regarding their willingness to receive a COVID-19 vaccination and their reasons for COVID-19 vaccination hesitancy or refusal. Among 5,110 participants, 2,294 (44.9%) said they would receive a COVID-19 vaccination, 498 (9.8%) said they would hesitate to receive it, and 2,318 (45.4%) said they would refuse to receive it. Willingness t…

A cross-sectional study assessing Pro-VC-Be short-form questionnaire in Canada; measuring psychosocial determinants of vaccination behavior in Canadian healthcare professionals.

Vaccine hesitancy poses a significant challenge to worldwide public health and has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading to heightened polarization and the spread of misinformation. Addressing vaccine hesitancy requires multifaceted strategies in which healthcare professionals (HCPs) play a critical role. Nonetheless, HCPs may also be hesitant toward vaccination. The 31-item original Pro-VC-Be tool, designed to measure the psychosocial determinants of vaccine attitudes in HCPs, was first validated in France, French-speaking Belgian regions, and Quebec (Canada). The validity of a s

Trust buffers price-related barriers to HPV vaccination among female college students: a cross-sectional study in China based on the 3C model.

PURPOSE: HPV vaccine hesitancy is prevalent among female college students in China, yet how trust interacts with cost concerns remains unclear. This study, grounded in the 3C model, examined whether trust in healthcare professionals buffers price-related barriers and identified high-risk subgroups. METHODS: A cross-sectional survey recruited 4,326 female college students from 12 Chinese provinces. Trust, price perception, and vaccination intention were measured. Interaction effects were tested using the Breslow-Day test; a decision tree model (CART) identified high-risk profiles. RESULTS: Tr
