Assessment of knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors regarding vaccinations among LGBTQIA+ community in Italy.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and other sexually and gender-diverse populations (LGBTQIA+) are at risk for sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This survey assessed knowledge, attitudes, and vaccinations coverage for Human Papillomavirus (HPV), hepatitis A (HAV), hepatitis B (HBV), monkeypox (Mpox) and the associated determinants among 1944 LGBTQIA+ individuals in Italy. The survey was conducted between May and July 2025, through an internet-based questionnaire. Only 14.2% correctly identified HPV, HBV, HAV, and Mpox as STIs. Those younger, with university d

An exploratory intersectional analysis of lifetime syphilis prevalence among people who inject drugs in Montreal, Canada.

BACKGROUND: Syphilis cases have increased among women and heterosexual men in Canada and people who inject drugs (PWID) are an emerging group at risk of infection. We aimed to examine syphilis prevalence among PWID stratified by men and women, and differences according to intersecting population groups, socio-structural factors and sexual and substance use behaviors. METHODS: Data were from HEPCO, a community-based cohort study of PWID in Montreal. We tested for syphilis (lifetime and active) via treponemal testing reflexed to non-treponemal testing if positive. Odds ratios were estimated usi

Personal and work-related factors that impact the decision to have the first and recurrent abortion among women in Serbia.

Despite the wide availability of contraception, the abortion rate in Serbia remains high. Being in a steady relationship and perceiving low risk to catch sexually transmitted infections have been identified as the most common reason to not use condom, while around 11% of females used oral contraceptive pill. The study aim was to investigate the reasons of Serbian women to seek induced abortion as well as the factors that might impact the decision to terminate pregnancy. A cross-sectional study was conducted at the Clinic for Ob/Gyn, University Clinical Centre of Serbia in Belgrade, which is a

Patterns of Chemsex Substance Use and Its Association with HIV Transmission Risk Among Men Who Have Sex with Men in Thailand: A Latent Class Analysis.

Sexualized substance use or "chemsex" may contribute to the HIV epidemic among men who have sex with men (MSM) in Thailand. Specific patterns of chemsex use may be associated with different HIV/STI transmission risks. We examined typologies and correlates of sexualized substance use among a sample of high-risk MSM (n = 532) who had attended a private sex party or circuit party in the past three years using latent class analysis. Multinomial regression was used to adjust for variables associated with the 3-class latent class model. We identified a 3-class model as the best fitting model, which
