OBJECTIVE: To investigate the characteristics of psychiatric comorbidity in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis.
METHODS: The psychological investigation and evaluation were done in 80 patients with chronic rhinosinusitis by using self-reporting inventory 90 (SCL-90), visual analogue scale (VAS), Lund-Mackay score and Lund-Kennedy score. The results were compared with healthy Chinese population, including factors of age, gender, educational level, course of disease, the number of operation and smoking history (using rank-sum test analysis, SPSS 19.0).

PURPOSE: Studies including investigations by our group indicate a significantly strained health of school teachers. Only little is known about the influence of single parameters that may act as predictors of teachers' ill health.

This study examined the effects of race-related stressors and hostility on cardiovascular reactivity in 31 African American and 31 Caucasian men. Psychosocial interventions have been shown to improve quality of life (QOL) for many cancer patients.
