Using stable isotope dilution, we determined the bioavailability of soilborne lead (Pb) in human adult volunteers. Soil from a residential yard at a mining-impacted federal Superfund site that had negligible amounts of other priority pollutants was dried and screened through a 25-micron mesh sieve. A data-driven approach using Python has been employed to mine new energetic materials with higher heats of sublimation (ΔH). A data set of 307 energetic compounds with experimental ΔH values was used to train machine learning models, including linear, random forest, gradient boosting, and extra trees, which yielded high R-squared values of 0.95-0.98. Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is defined as "urban mines" due to the various recoverable minerals they contain. However, current WEEE classification methods are mostly limited to their physical characteristics, focusing on collection, transport, and treatment purposes rather than on valorization. In the present study, our aim is to propose an alternative classification approach adapted for low-income countries for WEEE recovery that highlights their content of precious and valuable metals.
