Intracranial hemorrhage (ICH) was detected in 38 preterm neonates, using cranial ultrasonic (US) scanning. Forty-three preterm neonates examined during the same period but who had no cranial US evidence of ICH were also identified. Neurodevelopmental follow-up was performed at a mean age of 22.3 months on these 81 children. As a group, children with ICH demonstrated developmental indexes in the normal range but about ten points lower than children without ICH. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE: Newly created midwifery bachelor programmes attract an increasing number of applicants. Hence, educators have moved away from traditional non-standardised selection methods and started developing new tools for the admission of students. Researchers have expressed concerns around the validity of such selection measures and their ability to identify the appropriate candidates. OBJECTIVE: To develop the personalized model for predicting the risk of acute pancreatitis after endoscopic transpapillary interventions.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: A retrospective analysis of treatment outcomes included 366 patients with benign and malignant pancreaticobiliary diseases who underwent endoscopic transpapillary interventions. BACKGROUND: We developed a systematic, data-driven approach to estimate metrics of occupational exposure to lead to aid in epidemiologic analyses in a case-control study of kidney cancer.
