Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors (IMTs) are solid neoplastic mesenchymal proliferations composed of myofibroblastic spindle cells admixed with inflammatory infiltrates. The documented sites in the gastrointestinal tract include the esophagus, small intestine, colon, appendix, rectum, pancreas, spleen, liver, and Meckel's diverticulum. Meckel diverticulum (MD) is the most common congenital anomaly of the gastrointestinal tract that is generally asymptomatic and only manifests in a specific way when complications exist. An unusual complication of MD is known as Littre hernia. It comprises less than 1% of all MD. Littre hernia is the protrusion of an MD through a potential abdominal opening. Usual sites of Littre hernia are right inguinal (50% of cases), umbilical hernia (20%), and femoral hernia (20%). We report a case of Littre hernia in a boy who presented with acute scrotal pain and swelling.

Vaginal wall cysts occur rarely and can cause a variety of symptoms. A 33-year-old woman presented with a 2-week history of vaginal bulging and pelvic pressure. Pelvic examination revealed a protruding cystic mass on the anterior vaginal wall and two small cysts located in the left upper vaginal wall. The author reports his experience with five children with an anterior urethral diverticulum. Their ages ranged from 22 days to 3 years and presenting features included a penile mass, dribbling of urine, poor urinary stream, urinary-tract infection, and haematuria. Bleeding per anum is a common medical-surgical problem. The severe acute intestinal bleeding is rare and concerns mostly elderly patients. Localizing active sites of bleeding within the intestine remains a difficult diagnostic and therapeutic task. Operations were performed on 1,275 patients for various oesophageal disorders at the First Surgical Department of Olomouc University, between 1948 and 1985. Most of these functional disorders were of benign nature, including simple or complicated reflux disease of the oesophagus, achalasia of the cardia, para-oesophageal and mixed hiatus hernia, and diverticulum. Laminated intestinal calculi were detected during radiographic evaluation of the abdomen in 14 adult patients. These enteroliths had developed in the distal ileum of 12 patients who had either a Meckel's diverticulum (four cases) or a variety of other lesions causing local stasis, including strictures due to Crohn's ileitis, ileocecal tuberculosis, radiation enteritis, and peritoneal adhesions. Gastrointestinal complications of the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (E-D syndrome) reported in Japan during the 15 years between 1965 and 1979 were reviewed together with two cases of our own. The incidence of massive gastrointestinal hemorrhage was only in one case, but this complication was severe enough to cause death.
