The final Workshop of the meeting focused on cases of Hodgkin's disease (HD) in combination with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL), either T, B, or anaplastic large cell (ALC) type. Primary malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis is an exceptionally uncommon neoplasm, comprising a very small fraction of all mesothelioma cases. Due to its nonspecific clinical presentation, it is frequently misdiagnosed as benign scrotal conditions, such as a hydrocele. Breast cancer is the commonest malignancy in women. However, metastatic involvement of the breast is relatively rare. Metastatic disease of the breast is therefore often an unexpected diagnosis in a female patient presenting with a breast mass. The commonest cause is spread from a contralateral breast carcinoma. Adrenal cortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignant neoplasm with a poor prognosis. Radical surgery of the primary tumor and of local as well as of distant recurrence is the only effective treatment, and requires accurate and early localization of recurrent tumors. In this regard, we prospectively scanned 10 patients with ACC, 8 during follow-up and 2 at primary work-up. In all patients PET scans from the neck to the upper thighs were obtained 45 minutes after injection of 370 MBq [18F]FDG. Reading was done visually, with the investigator blinded to the results of other diagnostic modalities.

AIMS: To present our experience on spinal sclerosing epithelioid fibrosarcoma (SEF) and review the existing literature pertaining to SEF of the spine.
METHODS AND RESULTS: Six cases of spinal SEF were reviewed, and a literature search of all primary SEFs of the spine was performed. All tumours occurred in adults (median age, 41 years) and were located all along the spine, the lumbar vertebrae being the most commonly involved. PURPOSE: Little is known about other primary neoplasms occurring in patients with hepatocellular cancer (HCC). This team attempted to characterize this cohort of patients to define incidence, risk factors, natural history, and potentially shared etiologies.
METHODS: A retrospective analysis from an established, prospective database of patients with HCC during 1991-2004 was used to determine demographic data, risk factors, characteristics of the associated second primary neoplasm, and survival.
MAIN FINDINGS: Of 306 patients with HCC, 23 patients (7.5%) were identified with a second neoplasm.
