The catalytic efficacy of nanozymes is severely limited by the insufficient hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) substrate and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. Therefore, the development of multi-enzyme nanozymes with amplified ROS generation is urgently needed to enhance the antitumor effectiveness of catalytic therapy. PURPOSE: To determine the clinical benefits of Meibomian gland expression therapy for the treatment of dry-eye disease caused by Meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD).
METHODS: In a prospective randomized controlled double-masked trial, 87 eyes of 44 patients with MGD and dry-eye symptoms were enrolled. Paralysis is a major consequence of spinal cord injury (SCI). After cervical SCI, respiratory deficits can result through interruption of descending presynaptic inputs to respiratory motor neurons in the spinal cord.
