Frey's syndrome is the occurrence of hyperesthesia, flushing and warmth or sweating over the distribution of the auriculotemporal nerve and/or greater auricular nerve while eating foods that produce a strong salivary stimulus. Frey's syndrome is also known as auriculotemporal syndrome and gustatory sweating. We present a case of Frey's syndrome after a condylar fracture and its treatment by internal rigid fixation. A review of the literature is provided along with mention of a simple test (Minor's test) that can help in the diagnosis of this syndrome.

AIM OF STUDY: A retrospective review on the outcomes of four floating shoulder, ipsilateral scapular neck and clavicular fractures, treated with open reduction and internal fixation of the clavicle alone using plate and screws.

A new internal fixation device(TDP&CS) for subtrochanteric fracture of the femurs was designd and compared with Gamma nail and Jewwet nail biomechanically. Le Fort defined the classic weak points of facial fractures. Fractures of the midface and mandible are believed to require management with standard rigid fixation. Recent work has allowed mini- and microplating of multiple fracture fragments into more manageable larger segments for reduction and subsequent plating with rigid fixation to peripheral buttresses. Fractures of the lateral clavicle have different biomechanical conditions compared with fractures of the medial and central third; they therefore demand different therapy. Some 237 patients with fractures of the clavicle were followed, of which 75 (33%) were located in the lateral third of the clavicle. At the 5-year follow-up after exclusively conservative treatment, good results were found for Neer types I and III and 3 Jäger/Breitner type IIb fractures, while 4 out of 13 Jäger/Breitner type II a fractures ended in pseudarthroses (31%).
