Spatial-Temporal Consistency Based on Semi-Supervised Learning for Echocardiography Video Segmentation.

Echocardiography video segmentation is critical for cardiovascular disease diagnosis. However, it still suffers from the challenge of dual-level bias. This challenge derives from the frame-level bias in temporal dimension and the object-level bias in the spatial dimension on echocardiography video. To overcome this challenge, we propose a spatial-temporal consistency (STC) model based on semi-supervised learning for echocardiography video segmentation. This model aligns and fuses inter-frame and inter-object context-aware feature representations. First, the STC explores a temporal context-awar

Self-Supervised X-Ray Coronary Angiography Segmentation with Vessel-Aware Synthesis Learning.

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) re quires precise, real-time coronary vessel segmentation to ensure procedural safety and efficacy. Self-supervised vascular segmentation technology has attracted widespread attention because it does not rely on artificial standards and has good segmentation effects. However, existing self supervised methods focus primarily on the topological structure of vessels, neglecting texture and geometric de tails. To address this, this paper uses mixed data of real information and synthetic information for training, and simulates the relationship between the tw

Federated Learning with Global Model Hint for Medical Image Object Detection.

Building an ideal medical image object detection model often requires sufficient training data, which can be challenging to obtain in practical scenarios. Manual annotation is labor-intensive, and sharing datasets may raise data privacy concerns. Although federated learning can partially address these issues, we find an amplified feature drift problem when it is directly applied to medical image object detection. Motivated by the observation that the global model's parameters tend to align more closely with those of the oracle model than with those of the client models, we propose FedMHDet: Mo

CSBC: Class and Scale Balanced Semi-Supervised Blood Cell Detection.

Blood cell detection plays a vital role indiag nosing hematological diseases with microscopic images. However, conventional fully-supervised methods require large-scale annotated images, which are costly and labor intensive to obtain. While Semi-Supervised Object Detection (SSOD) methods can reduce the annotation cost by leveraging unlabeled images, most existing methods de pend on specific detector architectures, and their performance remains limited in blood cell images due to distinct class-level and scale-level imbalance. To tackle these challenges, we propose a Class and Scale Balanced se

A Comprehensive Approach to Days' Supply Estimation in a Real-World Prescription Database: Algorithm Development and Validation Study.

BACKGROUND: For accurate medication usage statistics and medication adherence calculations, we need to have an accurate days' supply (DS) for each prescription. Unfortunately, often the DS or the information needed for calculating the DS is not provided. Therefore, other methods need to be applied to acquire missing values or substitute incorrect values. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to apply a variety of methods for managing incomplete and missing data to enhance the accuracy of calculating DS for all medications and drug forms alike. Furthermore, to describe the effect of applied methods on th

Integrating Clinically-Aligned Chain-of-Thought Reasoning for Radiology Report Generation.

Automated radiology report generation holds significant potential to improve diagnostic accuracy and accelerate clinical workflows. However, current methods fail to capture nuanced reasoning patterns of radiologists due to their limited modeling of the complex diagnostic logic. To this end, we propose integrating Clinically-Aligned Chain-of-Thought (CACoT) reasoning pathways into the report generation process. Our method first establishes a hierarchical diagnostic schema organized by imaging projections and anatomical structures, thereby ensuring a structured, interpretable workflow. Within ea

Cross-Modal Learning from fMRI to DOT: Leveraging Large-Scale Neuroimaging for fNIRS Decoding.

Functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and its tomographic extension, diffuse optical tomography (DOT), offer portable and non-invasive measures of functional brain hemodynamics with great potential for everyday neuroimaging. However, the present scarcity of publicly available DOT data hinders deep learning model generalization and hence limits the development of its full potential. In contrast, functional MRI (fMRI) provides high-resolution hemodynamic data at scale. Here, we propose a cross-modal learning framework that leverages large-scale fMRI data to enhance DOT-based neural decod

Structure-Aware Perturbation Consistency Framework for Semi-Supervised Fetal Ultrasound Image Segmentation.

Accurate measurement of the Angle of Progression (AoP), derived from precise segmentation of the pubic symphysis (PS) and fetal head (FH) in intrapartum ultrasound images, is essential for labor management. While semi-supervised learning addresses annotation scarcity through consistency regularization, existing methods suffer from three limitations: they enforce globally uniform constraints, ignoring that prediction uncertainty concentrates at anatomical boundaries; standard loss functions fail to handle severe size disparity between anatomical structures; and sole reliance on teacher-generate

L2DiffM: LLM-Guided Variational Expert Diffusion for Target-Aware 3D Molecular Generation.

Target-aware three-dimensional (3D) molecular generation aims to produce candidate molecules with chemical validity, conformational plausibility, and target compatibility under protein binding pocket constraints. Existing pocket conditioned diffusion models rely primarily on local geometric and atom-level state modeling, leaving high-level medicinal chemistry semantics underutilized; moreover, single-path de noising and fixed-step sampling strategies fail to accommo date the heterogeneity of diffusion states and inter-sample structural diversity, limiting generation quality and structural conv

Using Immunization Data Systems to Track Zero-Dose Children in Bangladesh: Mixed Methods Exploratory Study.

BACKGROUND: Zero-dose (ZD) children-those who receive no routine vaccines-remain highly vulnerable, with global evidence showing that they are concentrated in marginalized and hard-to-reach settings. In Bangladesh, stagnant full-immunization coverage, population mobility, and inconsistencies in administrative data complicate accurate estimation of ZD and underimmunized children. Gaps in the completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of routine Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) information systems further limit the ability to identify and target these populations. OBJECTIVE: This study aime

DT-VNet: Deep Transformer-Based VNet Framework for 3D Prostate MRI Segmentation.

Magnetic ResonanceImaging (MRI) is widely used in examining and diagnosing prostate diseases due to its high resolution. However, the diverse morphology of prostate tissue presents a significant challenge for precise gland segmentation. Convolutional Neural Networks have demonstrated effectiveness in segmenting prostate regions. Nevertheless, their limited capability in extracting global long-range semantic features often leads to unstable network segmentation performance. To address these challenges, we propose a Deep Transformer-based Vnet framework (DT-VNet), which consists of a symmetric e

HyperSynergyX: Synergistic Drug Combination Prediction via Hypergraph Modeling and Knowledge Graph-Enhanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation.

Drug combination therapy is pivotal for complex diseases, but identifying synergistic three-drug regimens remains challenging due to both combinatorial explosion and the opacity of existing computational models. To address this, we introduce HyperSynergyX, an explainable framework that integrates synergy prediction with mechanistic explanation. Its core predictive component, a Dual-Biased Random Walk on Hypergraphs (DBRWH), models higher-order interactions among drugs on a three drug hypergraph and identifies latent combination patterns via tensor decomposition. To enhance interpretability, we

Re-evaluating heart rate variability biomarkers for glucose sensing: the impact of age normalisation and subject-independent validation.

BACKGROUND: Heart rate variability (HRV) derived from electrocardiogram (ECG) signals offers a promising non-invasive window into glycemic status; however, existing studies frequently combine distinct glucose measurements and employ validation strategies susceptible to data leakage. Because HRV declines by approximately 3-5% per decade due to age-related autonomic degeneration, absolute HRV values conflate the effects of aging with diabetes-specific autonomic dysfunction. We hypothesised that normalising HRV features using an age-dependent scaling factor would isolate the diabetes-specific com

DF-DiffVSR: Deformable Field-Driven Diffusion Model for Inter-Slice Continuity Enhancement in Medical Volume Super-Resolution.

Medical volumetric imaging is crucial for precise diagnosis, but limited by equipment and acquisition constraints, anisotropic resolution leads to challenges in detecting small lesions and 3D visualization. While volumetric super-resolution methods can mitigate this issue, existing techniques suffer from limited receptive fields, failing to fully exploit inter-slice correlations and resulting in compromised inter-slice continuity. To address this limitation, we propose DF-DiffVSR, a novel deformable field-enhanced diffusion model for medical volume super resolution. The proposed method integra
