The authors report two cases of primary histiocytic malignant lymphoma of the liver successfully treated by right hepatectomy. The first case, was free of secondary spread with a follow-up of ten years, although he received no adjuvant therapy. The second patient developed skin, bone and brain metastases, which disappeared after chemotherapy and radiotherapy. He has been free of recurrence for four years. Pathologic rupture of the spleen was the signal event in the onset of diffuse histiocytic lymphoma in a young woman. The diagnosis of lymphoma was established only after one month of observation. In a review of clinical features of ten patients with pathologic rupture of the spleen due to lymphoma, spleen size was variable, and in four of ten patients a diagnosis of lymphoma had not been suspected previously. In addition to the patient described herein, only two of those previously described survived splenic rupture.

Disseminated cryptococcosis with palpable purpura as the initial clinical manifestation developed in a patient with diffuse histiocytic lymphoma. Cryptococcal vascular injury in a thrombocytopenic cancer patient best explains this previously unreported presentation of cryptococcosis. Purpuric presentations of disseminated fungal infection are likely to increase in frequency as cancer therapy becomes more aggressive.

The number of the Doege-Potter-syndrome cases described above is less than one hundred. Even rarer are thoracic tumours with associated hypoglycaemia. The pathophysiologic mechanisms of the syndrome have not been fully elucidated as yet. There are also divergencies about the etiology of hypoglycaemia. Several hypotheses are under discussion. Even our observation shows the difficulty of discovering the genesis of tumour-conditioned hypoglycaemia.

Five of 86 male patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma had chromosomally abnormal clones in their lymph nodes, which involved a missing Y chromosome. Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of breast is a rare condition. NHL breast constitute about 0.5% of all malignancies of breast. NHL breast constitute nearly 1% of all cases of NHL. Among all subtypes of NHL, DLBCL (Diffuse large B-cell Lymphoma) is the most common type to be known.
