During the past 18 months we have studied 36 biopsy specimens taken from 11 young men ranging in age from 21 to 36, each of whom had multiple, reddish to violaceous papules, some distinctly verrucoid or velvety on either or both the shaft and glans of the penis. The clinical diagnoses accompanying the biopsy specimens were lichen planus, psoriasis and condyloma acuminatum. In no instance was carcinomia in situ suggested in the differential diagnosis. Histologically, however, all specimens submitted showed indubitable changes of squamous cell carcinoma in situ.

RATIONALE: Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) is a rare low-to-intermediate grade malignant vascular neoplasm. We report a primary splenic EHE with diffused metastasis who underwent 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG PET/CT). OBJECTIVES: Serrated polyps (SPs) with synchronous advanced adenoma (AA) may increase the incidence of colorectal cancer. However, current studies do not address this combination of SPs and AAs in detail with regard to their clinical characteristics in different age groups. The aim was to assess clinical characteristics and risk factors for SPs with synchronous AA in different age groups.

We describe a 66-year-old man initially diagnosed with primary cutaneous marginal zone B-cell lymphoma who developed four additional monoclonal/monotypic B-cell lymphoid proliferations and a systemic angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma over the course of 19 months. The purpose of the present paper was to evaluate the clinicopathological and biological features of 20 Japanese patients with solid-papillary carcinoma of the breast (SPC) or SPC associated with invasive breast cancer. All the patients were Japanese women, including two sisters. The mean age was 66.0 years. Specialized stromal tumors of the prostate encompass stromal sarcoma and stromal tumors of uncertain malignant potential (STUMP). As a result of their relative rarity and lack of long-term follow-up, the prognosis of STUMP is unclear. We studied 50 cases of STUMP and stromal sarcoma with regard to their clinical presentation and follow-up. Patients ranged in age from 27 to 83 years (mean 58 years).
