We present a unique case of a 39-year-old male with a 20-year history of chronic penile pain. Unfortunately, there are currently very limited reports on how best to manage chronic penile pain, as chronic penile pain is a diagnosis of exclusion without any apparent disease. Actinic keratosis (AK) develops on chronically sun-exposed skin and constitutes one of the most common diseases managed by dermatologists. The incidence of AKs continues to rise among aging as well as younger sun damaged populations worldwide, underscoring the importance of effective therapy options. Various treatments are available, including light-based therapies, topical therapies, and destructive therapies. OBJECTIVES: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of cryoablation compared with the radiofrequency (RF) method in the treatment of typical atrial flutter (AFL).
METHODS: 12 patients with typical counterclockwise AFL underwent cryoablation of the cavotricuspid isthmus. Cryoablation was performed with a 9F catheter with an 8 mm tip electrode. Human papillomavirus type 7 (HPV-7) was originally identified in common warts of butchers. It has remained unclear, however, whether HPV-7 also induces other distinct types of cutaneous lesions. PURPOSE: To determine the effect of cryoablation on the collecting system in the porcine kidney and the possible development of pelvic injury or fistula.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: Six kidneys from three domestic swine were utilized. Under MRI guidance, a 3-mm cryoprobe was placed percutaneously and advanced to a point adjacent to the collecting system. The tissue then was frozen to -40 degrees C for 4 to 6 minutes to create a 2-cm iceball. At 1 week postprocedure, the kidneys were harvested and underwent gross and microscopic examination for evidence of fistula formation or renal pelvis injury.

In three patients with numerous relapses of corneal erosions cryotherapy in the sense of cryostimulation was performed. Short-term medium intense cryoapplication was used - 1 cryocycle of -80 degrees C for 7 seconds on the whole area of the defect, using an applicator with a working area of 2 mm. On the third day after the procedure in all eyes satisfactory epithelization occurred. On the fifth day after the procedure the eye had recovered. The observation period is 13-17 months - no relapse. Cryotherapy proved the most effective of all hitherto used therapeutic procedures.

In 57 aphakic second eyes of 88 patients who had previously suffered an aphakic detachment in the first eye, fifteen patients have so far suffered a retinal detachment in the second eye. However, of these fifteen patients, only two have suffered any reduction of central vision associated with detachment of the macula, reflecting an apparent change in the pattern of aphakic detachment disease in the second eye. In view of this observation, we do not think an energetic policy of prophylaxis involving 360 degrees cryotherapy should be pursued at the present time provided that follow-up facilities
