BACKGROUND: This study aimed to characterize the urinary and tumor microbiomes in patients with non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) before and after transurethral resection of the bladder tumor (TURBT).
METHODS: This single-center prospective study included 26 samples from 11 patients with low-grade Ta papillary NMIBC. Urine samples were collected at the index TURBT and at a 1-year follow-up cystoscopy.
