Extrarenal angiomyolipomas are very rare. Here we report the first case of surgically resected angiomyolipoma of the descending colon that developed in a 50-yr-old man. The patient had no signs of or family history of tuberous sclerosis. He underwent a partial colectomy because the tumor obstructed the colon. Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) of the cervix in women older than 40 years of age is extremely rare. Embryonal RMS can appear deceptively benign both clinically and histopathologically. Diagnosis is made on the basis of histomorphologic and immunohistochemical findings. A high index of suspicion is, however, needed to make the diagnosis, as they can masquerade as benign polyps. Myofibroblastoma of the breast is a recently recognized benign mesenchymal mammary tumor that typically occurs as a unilateral, solitary lesion. Myofibroblastomas are well-circumscribed, unencapsulated tumors characterized by spindle cells in fascicles which exhibit varying degrees of myogenic and fibroblastic differentiation. Our case reports a mammary myofibroblastoma occurring in an 82-year-old male with gynecomastia and reviews the reported incidence of this benign spindle cell tumor in the world literature.

A case of angiomyofibroblastoma of the vulva in a 49-year-old woman was examined. The tumor measured 3 x 2.5 x 2 cm and appeared light gray to tan in color on the cut surface. Light microscopic examinations revealed that spindle or oval shaped tumor cells were arranged in loose edematous stroma with numerous thin-walled vessels. Primary cardiac tumors are rare findings in adults and children. A case is presented in which ultrasound examination revealed an incredibly large tumor in the heart of a fetus at 24 weeks. Tumor filled the whole left ventricle. Histology and immunohistochemistry were indicative of rhabdomyoma, i.e., a hamartoma that is often associated with tuberous sclerosis.

A primary tumor composed of mature adipose tissue and smooth muscle occurring in the anterior abdominal wall of a 46 yr old Filipino woman is described.
